Blowout Video

I was out on the road bike this morning with the GoPro on (I record some summer rides then set them to music and use them as videos when on the turbo during the winter) when this happened:

Once side of the tyre blew right off the rim. No problem as I wasn't going fast at the time, but the bang was very loud and somewhat scary. A couple of minutes earlier I'd been close to 40mph on a downhill section - could have been nasty had it happened then!
Almost certainly my fault I expect - probably balled something up when I fitted the tyre, as it was only about 10 miles or so since I'd fitted new wheels to the bike.

I was a little busy trying not to fall off! The GoPro doesn't pick up much sound anyway, the only reason the bang can be heard is because it was really loud.0 -
You can hear road noise quite well on the GoPros, so it seems that wasn't that loud or severe, and no swearing.
On one video, I could hear the air compressing in my friends fork who was riding next to me.0 -
