hey every1, me again.

so i have bought a new chain because my chain tool showed my current one at being 75% worn.

i got the shimano 105 chain from merlin cycles (great service, ordered at 5pm and delivered next day!). BUT im worried because i have a compact and the back of the box says compatible only with shimano 105 double chainsets.
does that mean i cant use it?

  • well a compact is a double so I would suggest it's not a problem.

Just count the number of links and make sure that it has enough. A double runs a larger front sprocket so the chain may be longer than your current chain setup for a compact.
