INSURANCE - All feedback appreciated

For the last few years I have commuted to work on my bike. In this time, I dare say I have come across, or nearly been involved in a few accidents. Dare I say it, most through motorists simply not looking.
I have two bikes, one a hybrid which my partner usually rides, whilst the other is a very heavily modified Carrera Vengence Ultimate Ltd Edition (you may have stumbled on this elsewhere on the forum). The total value of these two cycles combined is now probably in excess of £2000. Subsequently, I feel if I had an accident or something I would probably have to kiss one of my pride and joys goodbye and have to pick up all the pieces after.
Could anyone offer any recommendations for cycle specific insurers?
Where would I stand with modifications?
Is clothing covered?
Are there limits on mileage?
Do specific locks need to be used when not being ridden?
Thanks in advance. Your responses woulod be really appreicated!
