hiya
i have a problem with my front mech in that the chain is being thrown over big ring.
it started from when the chain got jammed as i changed from big ring to little.
i have tried making adjustments to the screws but it still throws it off.
i think i might need a new derailleur as i think this may have been bent slightly when the chain jammed.
i have shimano 105 and a compact chainset. is there a specific derailleur i have to buy for the compact? or will any 105 double mech work??
thanks

It might just be twisted out of line. You may just need to adjust the derailleur to its correct postion. The screws adust the travel which is unlikely to have been changed.

It sounds like it's had a knock and twisted on the frame. Easily fixed, just loosen the clamp bolt, realign, and retighten the bolt.Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

Also check the height from the chain ring; a mate of mine went from a dbl to a compact and did not lower his front mech and wondered why his chain was getting thrown.0
