In today's issue of Nature there is a freelance piece about doping in cycling and the effectiveness (or not) of the biological passport. For non-scientists, Nature is one of the most prestigious science journals. It's sub only and but basically it looks at what is measured by the biological passport and how it supposed to work. It also briefly mentions studies in the sports science literature that argue that the passport is cheatable. For reasons of narrative they focus on Borut Božič winning in the Tour de Suisse this year and subsequently heading to the doping caravan. There's no insinuation in the article.... There's not much new here for people who are really tuned in to doping methods of pro cyclists, but it's interesting that it's appeared in the most widely-read science journal.

Nature is one of the most prestigious journals for scientists too btw (alongside Science and Cell for biosciences).

Good objective piece re. bio-passports. PM with your email if you fancy a butchers.
