What does it mean by slacker frame and why is it important?
Is that when the rider is more upright or lower and more strecthed out?

the angle of the fork and seat post are more horizontal. so vertical is 90 degrees. horizontal is 0 degrees. 71 deg. is steeper than 66 deg and 64 is just Slack"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

no it is a bike thing nothing to do with being stretched out.
what are you trying to find out?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Am trying to compare the difference in geometry between the canyon XC and am bikes.
Just wondering what difference my riding position will be between a 150 and 120mm forks.0 -
there may be no difference in riding position. the angle change to allow the suspension to work without having dangerous characteristics. if a 140mm bike had 71 deg at full compression it would be 6 degrees steeper which would be nasty."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

The way I look at it is to think of a bike with a 70 head angle going down a hill at such an angle that means the forks are going to be 90 degrees to the flat. Slacker head angle means on the same slope the forks are still going to be at a lower angle to the flat.
If you consider where your body and head will be on the steeper angled bike going down a steep hill, with big rocks and roots, it's at least a scarier ride.0
