Hi,

If i get a Kona Dawg resprayed what will i have to do in prep? I know i will have to remove the shock and stop threads from being blasted / sprayed but what about the pivots on the swingarm? Will I have to take it completely apart?

Cheers

you need to remove all bearings including the pivot ones as most powders are cured at 200 degrees your bearings will in the very least leak grease out and your seals will probably melt.

Ask your coater to mask all areas were your bearings fit or you won't get them back in without cleaning off excess powder.

Also if its a ally frame make sure they etch prime the frame before coating.

as above. talk to the people doing the work.

most will want the frame fully stripped. and make sure you have LBS that can Face the BB and Headset and chase the BB threads out.
