Bontrager 24/12 - course conditions?

Hi,

Anyone know the current course conditions of the lap or generally in the Plymouth area. Unsure on what tyres to put on/take.

I took all three and used all three last year (Summer, autumn, Mud).....Looks like it might reverse itself this year and dry up as the race goes on mind....Have you seen the course vid on the website? Some long bits of grass :? :shock:

Have seen the video, have stuck on tubeless crossmark rear and ignitor front, should be ok. Might need something a bit spikier on the back if it rains, though have found courses generally get better as more people ride through them. Have seen you have a Cotic, don't suppose your riding for Cotic/A quick release race team? If you are will see you there as riding in the team 12 hour with them.

Ha! No, certainly not!!

Just a team of overweight, unfit mates that put ourselves through this every year for some reason! usually it's the only racing we do (although having moved to Holland, the bike club here is trying to interest me in a few more marthons which I might have a look at next month)

I am going on on an AQR holiday this septmeber but that's the closest association I have!

Did you say you were doing the torchbearer - may I ask why you shose that one from the usual 12pm-12am 12hr, I ve always wondered....

I did have a torchbearer slot, however have sold it now as doing the team event with cotic/aqr, 4-team male or mixed 12hr. Don't think I could ride both let alone be competitive!

Entered the torchbearer as the normal 12hr slots sold out months ago as did the pairs, It certainly wasn't my first choice!
