well to get the ball rolling; after a short blast on one a few years ago I thought it was light weight and the suspension was fine. Does what it says on the tin - but it's a long legged XC bike, not a meaty trial bike like it's upper travel would suggest. If you value 150mm travel on the descents then this likely isn't the bike for you. If you value efficient spinning over long distances then it's good.0

For £5000.... You clearly have more money than sense. You want us to recommend you a £5000 bike? Get out and ride more.
Seriously, I think you need to be hereto get you in the right direction.0 -
Damn, I haven't fallen for that one in a while.
Anyway, based on one test ride a couple of years ago, so take with appropriate measures of salt, I thought it was a very competent bike. It went uphill well, downhill well, got on with it. It had the bad fortune to be tested back to back with a zesty, which wasn't as efficient and tried to kill me more often, but I finished grinning like an idiot. The scott I finished thinking 'that was a good bike'. Take what you will from that....Rock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.0 -
