Morning infidels

Horsey placement for me again today, it's pissing it down outside, really not in the mood.

Tennis later, or if its raining I'll play bikes instead.

Ordered the new frame last night, can't wait for it to arrive.

What y'all up to today?

    Morning,

A brazing job to sort out in work, plus sorting out for tomorrows big demo event. A leisurely ride home followed by Pizza and friends, is the plan for tonight.

At some point I really must get on with brake swap on the crosser. I swear them f******g cantis are trying to kill me!

Got a mountain bike ride planned tonight with a few mates, just need to find a decent route now. Will be good to get out on the mountain bike rather than the commuter.

    In work already though, boo!

    Yo Maggots!

At Cosmic Coffee shop with a whopping 4% battery life left in the MacBook!
So, just enough time to wish all the early risers and late sleepers a great morning
Now let me inhale my coffee and see just how much I can wring out of this battery

Awakeness Fail this morning! Accidentally set my alarm for 05:30 not 06:30, was surprisingly awake at half 5, but when I came to try and get up an hour later, a serious struggle was had!!!

Work, then a business meeting after work will make up most of today and this evening so pretty boring really. Too injured to do any kind of sport after pulling my shoulder on Saturday evening.

    Meh

I've had 3 hours sleep, am very grumpy and am off to find something to bash. Though won 50 quid on the bandit last night.

Ridiculously tired this morning still trying to recover from the Scotland trip, also starting to bruse like a peach after and over the bars on the good game section at Glentress banged my head leaving me with whiplash but it was worth it. Off to even later for some bits and bats to fix the bike up as she was sounding a little poorly after the weekend.

Yeah, I have had that a few times. Once when cycling to work in black ice I was suddenly on the floor and no clue of which way I fell etc. Bike was about 15m down the road too, luckily it was early so no cars about.

Glad yours was caught on film though! :D

foxc_uk I totally read that as "swollen testicles" Slightly worried!

I woke up at 5:40 this morning, and my eye (the one on my face) was giving me grief. Fecking hate eczema.
Anywho, i'm in a 'meh' mood. I think it'll get better, depends on whether or not the mixing desk I'm moving fits in its new location. If it doesn't, I pity the fool.

    MORNING

i'm on my third green tea of the day and i feel all relaxed after last nights Body Balance class at the gym. My physio reckons i need to go if i am going to sort out my reoccuring lower back issues, my hamstrings are soooo tight they are pulling my pelvis out of line and adding pressure to my spine - lush!

although my trousers are too tight in a jamie redknapp-esque fashion

in other news i have gone and done it, my entry for the london marathon Golden Bond place has been submitted, seriously what am i doing, i can finish a half marathon but a full one might be a step (or a couple of thousand steps) too far! I'll find out in september whether i have a place or not.........

    Define Cottage Bake for me??

If it is baked in the oven and has a potato or pastry lid its a pie in my book, and i love pie!

I am also making cottage 'bake' for tea. Because it is NOT PIE!!!!

You see I don't even agree that a pie with just a pastry lid qualifies as pie.... in my book it has to be entirely encased in delicious delicious pastry.

sorry that is a term for skinny people. or people thinking skinny.

it is PIE. I would not be seen eating a bake.

    Good Morning Pies and tarts

Found it terribly hard to arouse this morning so I didn't and just had a lie in instead, short day at work thank god before 2x10 hour shifts tommorrow and Thursday to round up the week.

On Pie related business, and as a qualified chef, Its Shepherds PIE and Cottage PIE, and for the same reasoning, ocean/admirals PIE too, why? It is baked in a pie dish with a crust, the ingredient of that crust is irrelevant. This is why a pasty isn't a pie, because it is not baked in a pie dish.

Arguing that it is not a pie based on what is on top is like saying that a bike with a carbon frame isn't a bike because its made of something else, or a door isn't a door when its made of upvc and not wood.[/b]

Actually same argument then, surely by that recogning a swiss roll or ar arctic roll is a roulade because a sausage roll has claimed the pastry element?

I know fook all about cooking but Shepherds pies and Cottage pies have always been called that - even when I lived up North. So they're pies. Only some sort of trendy cafe would call them 'bakes' so they can charge more for a pie!

Anyway, crap day - my old hernia op is acting up again and that means no bike for me for a bit and I have to go see the doctor again next week :( Add to that everyone in the office has just woken up to the fact that I'm leaving on Friday and now want to pick my brains - they've known since May
