Hi Guys, i'm looking at getting a road bike to do some training, extra fitness, and sometimes just for a quick blast.

I enjoy mountain biking, but sometimes its more than a quick ride.

I've been looking at the Cube Peloton, but as i have no experience of road bikes, i'm looking for a bit of guidance / knowledge on the bike.

This is the bike:

What do you guys reckon? I don't want to spend too much on it. I know it has 3 cogs upfront, but please dont just view it as bad for that,

Thanks Tom

I'm new to cycling. Bought one of these at the end of May, and absolutely love it. No idea about specs and geometry and all that, but I can't keep off mine.

I was in my lbs today looking at one of these, very nice bike but for an extra £150 you can get the attempt which is much better spec. 105 groupset, fulcrum 7 wheels, shwable ultremo tyres etc.

these all add up to way more than £150, I'm seriously thinking of getting one myself when i get the money together 8)

I like the colours of the Peloton, but understand about the Attempt.

i agree with andy46 - if the "attempt" model is really only £150 more then it is a much much better value proposition than the peleton

I don't know about other shops, but in my LBS the Peloton is £849 and the Attempt is £999.

I personally can't stop thinking about it, for those who have read my thread on here will know what I mean
