I'm looking for the cheapest SPD pedal/shoe combo possible.
Just ride.

    M520s and DHB M1s, or whatever other shoes you can find cheap.

    +1 M520's and whatever shoe you can find, I like Spesh Tahoe (about £55 ish), my daughter has some CRC sale Diadora that cost £15 which seem just as good.

    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    I have the DHB M1's and you defo get what you pay for. I've had them about a year and the sole is falling off, I lost the studs a long time ago and the stitching is coming lose.

    I'd spend another £20 and get a Shimano shoe.
