Pitch pro sold out- so what else is out there?

Hi, I have been saving up this summer for my first full sus bike. The specialized pitch pro really seemed to have what I needed: descent-orientated geometry, 150mm travel and a £1750 price tag. However, I am nearing my saving target and have found that most places are sold out of the Pitch pro (in medium size).
So I would like to hear your advice on alternatives. Please keep in mind the points that drew me towards the pitch pro initially.
Cheers, Tom

I was basically in the same situattion about 3 months ago (different desired bike) and ended up building myself a yeti 575 for ~£1200, it is doable, it's lots of fun if you don't mind scouring for bits and it feels so much more like your bike as you chose every last little bit!
I also found that there's no corner cutting which you'll tend to find no matter which bike you buy these days and if you do it carefully you can save a wedge of cash.0 -

There's still ridiculously cheap Wolf Ridges out there, that's a fairly equivalent bike at silly prices...Uncompromising extremist0
