Hi all

Has anyone got an Agree Pro? I am thinking about my first road bike (40 miles a go on a hardtail feels like towing a caravan). I can't stretch to carbon and since I don't intend racing I don't think I could justify it anyway. I'm tempted by the Pro alu and the Streamer but can't find any reviews of either.
Any advice would be gratefully received...

I have Cube agree SL. Very nice it is too except the wheels. Easton EA50's are just not good enough imo. 2 broken spokes and 1 full bearing and freeehub failure in about 2,000 miles. See if you can get the dealer to swop them for something better.

Same money IIRC and has a carbon frame:

Thanks for that but I'm not going to ppush the cash limit again - it's keeps edging up! That's why I'm thinking the Pro alu at £1395. It looks like this is about the best I'm going to do for the money....any alternative suggestions appreciated. Whatever I get isn't going to be improved and will have to last a good few years!!
Also I'm after something with a moderately forgiving ride, not an out and out racer.

    Hi

I've been looking at the very same bike. I can't see anything on the Market that can match it for price and spec. Trouble is I've also been looking at the agree gtc pro as well and really can't decide. The carbon bike is only £100 more expensive but doesn't quite have as good a spec as the aluminium bike. I've been back and fourth unable to decide which one to go for, for weeks. The gtc does have great reviews but I can't find any on the alu bike. So I too would love to here from anyone who has one.

    Hi

-Glad to see I'm not the only one agonizing over this!! I've also been thinking that perhaps a decent alu frame will be a bit more resilient than carbon; but then is that at the cost of a slightly better ride?

Dunno if the carbon gives a better ride but alu frame rides just fine :D
