Like the look of the PX nanolight, but this looks like the same frame to me - another UK based company.

If it is the same frame, liking the paint job.

Don't know - can't find it on site.

I thought PX said they had exclusive on that frame - (not that it matters much) - perhaps it was just for the first year - if it is indeed the same frame.

Thingxs that give it away too me, are where the seatstays meet the frame, shape of the down tube and shape of the top tube where it meets the head tube.

Its a generic chinese frame, albeit one I cant fault, I love mine.

The PX team guru is a looker as well.

Does look the same, pretty sure it is. I've just emailed for prices.

    Be interested to know!

Some really nice colour options on there. That's my only gripe with PX frames - the paintjobs are a bit uninspiring (the Guru is more lively though!).

Oooook, quick reply but not really what I was expecting, this was the reply:

The Competition frameset is £1199.00 which includes Frame, Fork, Headset, Fork Expander, Seat Collar

He's sent me a pdf with full pricelist in too

    Thanks for that.

Quite a bit more than the PX version. But the paintjob is, well, quite a looker.

Ouch, had it been £100-£200 more, I would have said worth it on looks alone, but £500 over the Team Guru, I would rather have the PX Guru and £500 extra towards wheels!

Correct me if I`m wrong but I think the Flandria bikes are made with 3k Carbon where as the Planet x`s are 12k , hence the price difference

somewhere in the 'anyone bought a carbon frame from china' thread, there is a note of the frame maker and model number, if you're feeling brave you can buy them direct

Graham: The 3k / 12k is only the top coat of carbon, not structural so underneath they're probably identical.

Ed: It's an FM 830 and I've emailed the makers direct but haven't had a response yet, their seems to only be one source for this frame which is unusual.

You could get the PX version and a custom paint job from Argos Cycles for less money :)

I got a custom paint job for my Ti MTB a few years ago - it was the best thing ever. There is nothing like knowing that your bike is a one off.

Just got a reply from a lady at XPA who make the original frame and she says, see Planet X for uk purchases, so they must have the rights to it here in blighty,
