The Cane Creek is excellent value, cheap, tough and smooth. Son has one on his Enduro and it takes big hits.
Orbit XLII also worth a look, normally some going cheap on Ebay (under £20) and IMO the best value around. Well sealed and smooth as. Mine is 3 yrs old, used in all conditions and still perfect.

I was tempted by the Orbit - it lasted less than 6 months before the lower race disintegrated, that was an ebay buy and looked genuine (was from a legit bike shop) - I've now got an CC S3 fitted and hope this lasts better than the Orbit.

CC S3 here too, and it seems to be doing fine.

Er so why not just replace the bearing?
Never heard of one disintegrating though, sure everything was fitted correctly?

Either Cane Creek S3 or FSA Orbit MX, both are a good choice. Both come with replaceable cartridge bearings and have good levels of sealing.

Buy which every is lighter / more bling etc ...

    Another vote for the S3.

I fitted one for a mate a while ago. It was easy to install and still seems as smooth as when it was new!

Well I questioned that but was fitted by lbs who I hold in high regard based on other work they've done.
