I am currently running Shimano r500s and am considering either Campag Khamsins or Mavic Aksium Black Wheels. which of the above are better and would i notice an appreciable improvement from the Shimanos?

I think you'll find all three wheelsets are pretty much idenitcal in terms of performance, why you're even thinking of changing is beyond me (coming from a Campag user to boot).

You could always add the money from a sale of the R500's to your stash of cash and upgrade to something a bit higher up the scale, e.g. Fulcrum 3's, Campag Zondas, American Classic Victory 30's. Until then I'd say don't bother changing just for the sake of it. How much money were you thinking of making available?
  • My budget is up to about £200 however i just found these for 150!

they are the 2009 model, would it be worth spending the extra 50 odd quid to get 2011 models ones from CRC etc?

    edit:
scrap that! I have just realised that fulcram 5s are lower down the range than the fulcram3s! stupid system

I guess i would notice jack all difference from them too?
