Folding tyre v wire bead tyre

Apart from weight. Are there any advantages having a folding tyre?

    they are normally of a better quality/have better compounds.

    Cheers Nick. Looking at buying a 2.35 maxxis high roller. I see the folding version is lighter than the wired although it is £10 more

    Plus if your going out for a epic multi day ride you can carry a rolled up spare tyre at the bottom of your pack. Only done it twice and didnt need it either time but both times it would have been a loooooooong push with a split tyre to the nearest road.
