Yeah, very entertaining0 -
Awful incident, I'm sure the driver feels extremely guilty. Thank God no one was seriously injured or killed!
Flecha and Hoogerland showed the spirit that would make most 'sportsmen' ashamed. 30 stitches? No problem. Straight back on the bike and finish the course. If this was football (soccer) they would still be on the ground crying like little girls.0 -

Endless pointless comparisons to football players. They roll around to start a process of establishing with the referee that there should be action against their opponent. Yes it's cheating, none of that in cycling eh.
Bert Trautmann the Manchester City goalkeeper finished the '56 cup final with his neck broken, what a lightweight huh.0 -

Ok I should rephrase my last comment and say 'modern day' footballers. There are very few if any Trautmanns out there now. If they so much as break a nail they would be out of action for a minimum of 4 weeks!0 -

Cycling's currencey is suffering though. If you can't deal with pain well you'll never even make it to begin with. Whether it's pain because you're going hard or pain because you've crashed.
It's not in football.0 -
