as far as im aware kona frames run a little small so mabye a 56 would suit you better, and to be fair most people who are 5.9 with an allez have 56cm frames anyway, inless you have small arms or legs then 54cm. best advice is to go find said bike sit on it and if you can ride it around you know

I've a 54 felt f3 and use a 53 kona paddy wagon every day for commuting. Great bike. It's a semi compact geometry, so it is hard to compare standard geometry bs kona geometry0

Ive got a Jake the Snake Kona cross bike and I love it. Its pretty quick in a burst, comfortable for long stretches and nice and agile for tight slow speed stuff.
I honestly don't think I'll bother with anything else. Its not a pure road racer but it an excellent bike.Jake the Snake '06

forgot to say, I'm 6'2 and use a 56cm frame, its got a sloped top tube so its more like a 58, check the step over height on the Kona website, it should be 1-2 inches shorter than your inside leg.Jake the Snake '06
