Carrera Gryphon Hybrid Bike 2011

Has anybody got any experience with the Carrera Gryphon Hybrid Bike 2011 (http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165534)?

I've read good reviews about the 08 model but can't find anything on the 2011 model. I'm after an aggressive hybrid/flat bar road bike that’s not too blingy. Is there any other bikes I should be looking in the <£350 price range?

    There is a thread about 4 down from this post titled "Hybrid bike for casual use - £350 budget" but since you asked. .. I too am looking at that bike. Not seen any reviews for current model but old model got pretty good ones like you say. I prefer the tyres on the new model to the old.

    My current commuter is based on a Gryphon frame (and that's all that is left mind you.....) but there are 2 local Gryph commuters to me, they seem pretty robust and reasonably light, fairly good value for money.

    My (home painted) frame comes in at 1835g (absolutely bare), not a flyweight, but about the same weight as the Boardman hybrid frame.

    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
