bought my self a bit of a vintage Royal Enfield a few weeks ago an looking at getting it sand blasted at work then sprayed at a body repair centre (a favour called in)
only problem is i don't know what colour to do it, im a colourful kinda guy, favourite colours are lime green an orange but i reckon that will make the frame an fork look tacky as hell
any ideas?
original colour of the bike is light blue with yellow, im hoping i can get some repro decals to put on the frame which will then be lacquered over

Check out the "original" colour charts for Royal Enfield - may be worth restoring. Any pics of the frame?
Enfield used to make rifles to - so, gunmetal blue!0 -

Not sure how you would chrome the lugs without removing them.....i.e. de-brazing the whole frame.....0

i think they would have to be painted to be honest, i was thinking of getting to powder coated again it was being done as a favour only about £40 but i thought the high temp would melt the brazing
but i think paint is a nicer finish? an i dont think you have any colour you want with powdercoatingKeeping it classy since '830 -

SimonAh is your man for finishing.
Powder coating won't melt braze - I guess some airfix enamal will work on the lugs or signwriters paint.0 -
You cannot chrome without disassembling, and that would not be a good idea.
I would suggest a mediablast, powdercoat and then pinstripe the lug boundaries with a fine brush and a small pot of humbrol. Not actually tricky to do, and looks wonderful.
Colours, subtle and non primary I reckon. How about a dusty pistachio green with white lug detailing?FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits
