I am now beyond caring... well almost.
Going to give LBS one more chance to sort this, before I demand a replacement bike.
For anyone who cares (and I know I have probably irritated you as much as my LBS with this saga!!)

Any advice re: my consumer rights etc, as I think I am getting to that point now...

Self diagnosis and tear down might invalidate your warranty so careful with that one unless you are confident in your own abilities as a mechanic (which i assume you are not).
You've been through all the right channels and the bike is clearly not right.
Despite what some of the other posts claim, I also have to have a 'silent bike', I've built 2 and run and maintain a family and friends fleet that goes into double figures...All of them run smooth, quiet and creak-free.
Money back or replacement is your goal....Time to get Medieval on the LBS!!
Good luck!0 -
Why did you need to start a new thread?0

Your LBS must love you.. Your the 'squeaky noise guy'0

Demand a replacement, because of a few creaks? You really are way over the top. If a few small noises bother you to the point you kick up so much about them both in the LBS and internet forums, and are about to "Demand a replacement bike". It's a noise for god sake.0
