After taking up mountain biking a in big way I spend most of my life either on a MTB, thinking about my MTB, reading about MTBing or on line.
So I obviously love a bargain and research my purchases within an inch of its life.
Imagine my surprise after several trips to Sherwood Pines (lovely guys, just can be too busy - small stuff, I did buy a £2.3k bike off them saying that - the manager is mint! / so is Dale in the workshop) and one trip to JE James at Chesterfield (not as lovely and just plain old can't be arsed). I have found my new favorite shop - EVANS!
Never thought to go in there as I thought they would be too big, not care, and be to expensive.
However, went into Castleford branch wanting some M540's and shoes, I asked if they price matched and brought a print out from google shopper. The guy told me their policy and promptly went on each web site checked the stock and printed out the offer and matched it there and then. Overall they spent the best part of an hour and a half making sure all of my silly questions were answered and I went out happy. Now WELL DONE.
Surely this is just a fluke? No Nottingham Evans did the same the other weekend where I got a new track pump and set of spec's, the chap must have got EVERY pair they had in the front and in the stock room out for me to try. GREAT
Thats all.

I work two minutes from Evans Castleford and all my dealings have been very good, mainly accessories and clothing purchased but on the whole very good.'11 Cannondale Trail SL30

Got to agree,
I went to Evans, Castleford with my girlfriend to buy a bike for her youngest son, we were only spending £350 but the chap serving us spent well over an hour going through the bikes and then another hour setting it up for the lad
Above and beyond.
Thanks Evans Cycles
You can never have too many bikes!0 -
Evans at both Castleford and Leeds are welcoming and very helpful but York are just ignorant. Shame Castleford always seem to stock shortages which they can't control.0

Yup. Evans do seem to be pretty good most of the time.! The one in York is terrible, and put me off going to the one in Reading, however, i needed something quickly and seeing as I passed it on my journey I thought I might as well pop in. What can I say, friendly, helpful service, even going out of their way to check things for me. Fantastic.0
