Numb feet and and tingling in the grion when out on a ride?

Hi,

I have recently started getting a numb like feeling with pins and needles in my feet and a funny sort of tingle in my groin when out on even the shortest of rides. It seem OK when on the trail, but I do spend quite a bit of time out of the saddle. It's worse when I ride around the lanes at home, being seated all the time. I only have to do 6 or 7 miles and I start to feel it.

Any advice as to what might be causing it?
