My Baby Betty the bouncer, taken a while to get her built up so far with only a couple of things left to do.
The only standard parts now left is the frame of course plus forks, rear shock, crank arms and seat post.
If money allows will change the front end for some 36's, and maybe a coil for the back as have seen this done to other dawg's.
Its not as light as it could be but i like that way as it handles anything i can throw at it.

not a big fan of brightly coloured bits which is why i settled on just silver Hope bits to go with the grey of the frame, which is metallic so pops in the sun as it is.

Very nice, I also have one and mine is bog standard apart from DMR grips, superstar pedals and a cane creek headset as the oe one was trashed!

cheers man, did'nt stay standard for long first thing i did was strip the paint of the rocker link, how are the superstar pedals as i've been thinking of getting a pair.

Cheers for the comment on my thread mate, look quite similar at a glance! Do you find the single front ring restrictive? I wonder if I need the small cog sometimes...

I did at first but have now got used to it, just means have to work a bit harder sometimes on the steeper climbs which is a good thing.
Have also found that I have not dropped the the chain once since fitting due to the extra tension on the chain and the short cage mech helps too.

Did you fit new rocker plates?
They dont look like the standard ones if I'm not mistaken
(P.S the 08 Dawg is the best looking one IMO 8) )

I think so too i had an 07 and have tried my mates 09 and 10 too and they dont feel as good, even though they upped the travel they steepned the angles which i dont get.

Not new rocker plates i just took the paint off, leaving in place what was in the recess's, so it would match all the Hope bits.

How did you do it?
I'm building up an 05 Dawg at the moment,and the plates look the same as the 08 ones

Its an old pic but shows them.
All i did was sand off the paint with a dremmel using the round sandpaper attachment bit then polished it up with silver polish.
Not hard to keep clean either just wipe over with a cloth and thats it.

Looks good,really like that.

I don't even have my 05 one finished yet (resprayed,and only forks and BB fitted so far),but I reckon I'll be keeping an eye out for an 08 as soon as I have the spare cash
(I reckon I could be copying your idea when I do get my hands on one )

I would, been thinking of getting another one myself but trying to find one is hard.
Either people are keeping hold of them or not to many were sold over here which would be suprising considering what it can take and the spec of the 08 model for the money compared to the later model's.
You can still get the 09 quite easily but still quite expensive for a 2yr old bike.

Just wondering what size front rings people are running on a 1x9 setup.
I'm currently running a 36t with a 11-34 cassette.
