Hi

I'm toying with the idea of riding down to that there London from Newcastle at some point and am looking for partial or complete route suggestions. I'd rather take the quieter scenic routes than bomb down the A1 where possible provided it doesnt completely double the distance.

Any help appreciated, I'm also scanning google maps and bikely for possibles.

cheers

Joe

hi all, thanks for your suggestions.
the NCN route seems like a decent bet, I'll investigate further. I wonder what the surfaces are like on the traffic free routes...

The LEL audax route is a little thin on the detail but I'll piece together the stops and see where it would take us.

I've also tried the bikehub route finder which has plotted a gpx file which I'm flying along in google earth.
