Nice looking bike. Can i ask how the tyres perform? i'm thinking of getting the blue ones to finish off my colour scheme but i dont want to compromise on grip...

the tyres perform well, plenty of grip in both wet and dry conditions. ive had them on the r/hopper for about 8 months so they've seen both summer and winter action, and i've been most impressed by thier mud-shedding capabilities- hardly any clogging atall!
but then again i only have the specialized fast trak lk's to compare them to, which came fitted as standard to the r/hopper, and were truly awful in any thing but bone dry hardpack conditions. there is a review of the panaracers on bikeradar if you go to "bikes and gear" and search for the review.

+1 i need to ditch mine asap as they really are god awfull in anything but going down towpaths.

dont you find though the 2.1 compared to 2.2 too narrow?

  • What stem do you have fitted?? What rise and length??

I was thinking about going to a flat bar and like the look and fit of your stem/bar/bar ends

    Thanks

hi john, stem is the original standard 2010 rockhopper stem, 75mm reach, 7 degree rise, i just flipped it upside down and mounted it below the spacers.
