When to service my front forks?

Ive got some RS Pike forks that are 3 seasons old. They have had moderate use and still seem to run with no problems. However, as its been 3 years and i would preferably like to get another 3 or more years use out of them, when do you know to service them? How can you tell they may need it?

Depends on the LBS but probably £70+.

Or download the manual and have a crack. With new oil and O rings - a few quid.
