The MRC went on a 70mile pilgrimage today to Harworth.
The Working Men's Club in Harworth has a large, glass cabinet, full of mementoes of the great rider.
His Peugeot.

It's got a dent in the top tube.

His Peugeot & World Champion's jersies.

Nice one; really iconic those artefacts. I know nowadays you can get bikes lighter than a feather but his bike and the simplicity of his jerseys, their sleakness, sums up the TDF for me.
The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.
