rear spoke breakage.

afternoon all. ive just broke a spoke on my back wheel. second one in as many as 2 weeks. this time i was just ridin the road home slow. a month or so ago, i broke a front one. what would be causin this to happen ? is it time maybe for a new set of wheels ? after all, these ones are 7 years old now.
