Watching last stage in Paris - recommendations?

More by luck than judgement finding myself in Paris for last stage of race for the first time - any hints or tips of best place to watch the eight trips around the Champs circuit? Was thinking of maybe the Place de la Concorde?

hello mate we went last year i say go down to the turn next to the arc de triumph but about 100-200 meters down so your just off the turn as on the straights they are just to fast to see. Be there early with food and water i think if you get there for 7am you will get a place where you want to be. We got there for 8am and it was getting 2people thick in places take a chair and a no sh?t attitude as people are well bad for pushing in. plus after they do the lap of honour and stuff its well worth the long day but i dont think my wife would agree so much . was the first part of out honeymoon lol hahahahahttp://www.flickr.com/photos/lancejambo/7872222626/
