OnOne Inbred - My First Build

As a confirmed roadie, I realised about two months ago that I was probably missing out on a lot of off-road fun. So I set about a build based on an OnOne Inbred frame. It's got to suit both me and the girlfriend - hence the red rubber band on the seatpost - and I also needed to make sure I didn't get carried away with top of the range kit.

Anyway, I finally finished it today and wanted to thank - and name check - lvquestpaddler, rowlers, O2GF74, supersonic, RichardSwt and Napoleon D, who appears to have been barred. They've all helped out a newbie and are very much appreciated.

Looks great, I like the look of on-one frames. And well done on building your own bike, it must feel very satisfactory knowing you've done it yourself.

    Cheers fathomer,

It was satisfying but the quality of the build will reveal itself next weekend when it hits the trails of Cannock Chase.

Was a bit nervy about pestering all and sundry on the forum for advice but they seem to have tolerated my ignorance.

May start on a TT bike build now.

Looks nice matey. Just need to cut down that front hose though ;)

Do you know how much it weighs in at? Just interested as a comparison to my own.

I fancy having a go at building my own bike at some point, think I'd be doing plenty of pestering as well!

If you've not done Cannock before, it's great, well i enjoyed on Saturday which was the first time I've done the monkey!

Alex - I will get round to cutting down that front hose. Had to cut rear to route it through guides and now quite adept at bleeding the whole system - no fun fitting olives though!

Homer - ask away. I set up a blog but found it easier to finish the bike than this: http://clembike.tumblr.com/

I am running the Deore brakes, they come with little yellow plastic hose clamps which fit in a vice or grips so you can hold the hose without crushing it, then just slot the barb over the hose and tap the barb in the end, easy peasy :)

I need to do one tomorrow in fact, new hose for a new frame, as the old one is too short!

At least they are nice and easy to bleed.

Yep, I used those but had to set up some bizarre mix of the yellow blocks, zip ties and rag. All that rather than buy some mole grips.

Just looked at your Inbred - nice build and colour scheme too. Reminds me of the John Player Formula 1 Car: http://www.autoevolution.com/news-image/ground-effects-in-formula-1-6717-1.html - any influence?

    Certainly was :) Thank you.

I have now got a 456 however, I decided that the small frame was in fact too small as suggested after trying some friends longer bikes.

Expect to see a thread up about it soon :)
