please help, tire and wheels sizes compatability question

Im thinking of buying a new bike which I like, but just wish it had slightly smaller tires, so the question is...say I buy bike with 37mm tires, would it be possible to replace the 37mm tires with 35mms but KEEP THE SAME WHEEL?

In other words, can one wheel fit more than one size of tire?

    yes, and the basket comes with pink flowers in it :roll:
