Carbon Framed Hardtail

Is it ok to put carbon framed hardtail bikes on a hollywood bike carrier.
I thought I read once before that you try and avoid carbon frames with bike carriers.

iv not heard of that? i would of thought it be ok, though i would of thought the best way if it has to be mounted on the car is to use them roof mounted bike carriers that you mount to your forks and rear wheel, therefore not interfering with the frame itself.

i used to chuck my old carbon mtb on mine without worrying, (not a holywood rack though, just simple car rack)

A good thing to do is put some pipe lagging around the tubes on the bike rack just to add some protection.
