Front deraillure chain contact?

okay - feeling a bit dumb about asking this question... When on the largest (front) change ring the chain rubs on the outer edge of the derailluer plate, but only when in the two smallest rear cogs...
The user manual (cant believe im admitting to reading a user manual, shhh... Dont tell the girlfriend) states a clearance of 0.0 - 0.5mm. Well, to me 0.0 means no gap! I hav tried turning the top adjustment 1/8 turn as per manual but it seems to make no difference.
The derailluer is a Shimano M660 on a specialzed camber expert.
Utterly addicted to all this mtb stuff... Only had the bike for three weeks and cant stop smiling when im out on it!
Cheers

P.s.
GF just peered over my shoulder and asked why i had put the pedals on upside down... She saw the word shimano on the arm upside down and assumed i had fitted them incorrectly!

add some tension to the cable.
try reading Parktools for How tos."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
