First bike help needed

Hopefully all you experienced roadies can help me, after quite a few years mountain biking I now have the urge to start doing triathlons but I am struggling as to what first road bike I should get.
Budget wise i’m looking at around £500, I know it’s not that much but can not justify more than that so I know spec wise it will be pretty basic just need a few suggestions

    cheers for that, do you think its worth looking at used if so what does 500 get you

    Probably better wheels and better groupset

    500 used...105, ultegra upwards, maybe even carbon. But some brands depreciate faster than others.
