After waiting two weeks to get my Voucher it has arrived and with a giddy face I told my Mrs I'm going to head to Halfords and pick up my reserved Bike.
HOWEVER, I need to sort out the security & contents of my shed before I can let my soon to be BoardmanFS sleep in there. I thought I'd be able to keep the bike in the house until I got it sorted, I was wrong!!
My own fault for not sorting it out over the last few weeks, but at least I have something to do this weekend now!

Tell her to shut up. Get her put in her place and tell her to get back in the kitchen.

    I agree.
  • Get her to sort the shed out while you are cycling back from Halfords. :P

Make her live in the shed so you can keep the bike warm and cosy in the house.

    my wife's great!

i'd always kept my bike in the kitchen

before we married & she moved in, I bought a shed & fitted a ground anchor into the concrete beneath

roll on a few months, the shed's full of other junk & the bike's back in the kitchen 8)

    no complaints from HRH ...

Now that you have made the mistake of asking her permission, here is what you do:

Sneak out of the house (if asked tell you are going out for a couple of drinks with mates). Get the bike and return home after a couple of hours with a bottle of Jack in the other hand (half filled) and tell her you got the bike in a drunken stupor and you're sorry!

Gave her the hairy side as someone suggested.

Night in the Cells, Court date set, Criminal record Tarnished, local womens group want my blood and the bike still has to live in the Shed!!!!

    Sheesh thanks for the advice!!

Like the keep it in house being part of the scheme idea! Spent the weekend sorting the Shed so problem solved. Just got to get a ground Anchor, or a big dog (not the wife)!

If I lived in Rotherham, it would not stay in a shed.

  • Both of mine are in the bedroom!
  • Your the man of the house, tell her to take a reality check. My bike frequently lives in the kitchen, sometimes in our bedroom if we have guests, and on our balcony.

i live on a 3rd floor flat. not too far from old trafford. its in my bedroom.... Locked to my metal bed frame, its Really going no where!

it pays to be a bit paranoid, its when u let ur guard down u get robbed!

i'm even considering removing all the door handle's n boot release from outside of the car and having it all smoothed out and put on solenoids (sp) so u push a button on the fob to open the door on the catch, then there is a small lever just inside ;) 8) slighty OT i know but hey, some think im a bit crazy... I think they're correct
