Hey guys,
I've been riding around on my old Giant TCR for about a year and a half now and am really looking into getting a new bike. I've basically found the following 2 bikes online for sale:
(1) Cervelo S1 frameset (~1100AUD)
(2) 2009 Orbea Orca w/Dura Ace and Shimano RS10 (1600 AUD)
I'm looking to build up a frameset and now I'm torn between the two. I'd sell the parts from the Orbea and build with SRAM Force. Which would mean both framesets would roughly cost the same.
Obviously the Orbea is carbon and the Cervelo Alu (I don't really mind which). The Orbea is used however, but in perfect condition. Cervelo has aero/internal cabling. At the moment I'm just really torn as to which way to go. I'm buying online (have had a fitting done to get measurements) so I'll adjust fit once I get it (both come in my size). I'm really just looking for someone to tell me whether the carbon bike or the aero bike is a better way to go. Mostly I do about 75-100km per week, but am looking to ramp it up as my older bike is starting to need new parts!
Any advice would be excellent :?
