Saris Bones Solo

Anyone tried this carrier. Looks like it could fit the bill for me as I only need to carry my own bike. But it doesn't really look all that secure without the side straps and there are a lot of mention of bikes swinging about.

    If you can afford it, go for the Bones 2 or even better, the Bones 3. They're great racks and you can guarantee that as soon as you get a single bike carrier, you'll need to carry two bikes !!

    I've got the Bones 3 and it's great, very solid on the car with no movement from the bikes.

    another vote here for the bones 3, it can be tricky fitting the full sus onto it but the road bike goes straight on no problems.

    Was initially thinking of the Bones 2 but I'm a bit of a cheapskate and can't find it for the £60 everyone else seems to think it costs :wink:

    Probably just go for the bones 2 though. Intend on popping to halfords this weekend to have a look anyway.
