I just received my new Voler Pro Team Jersey in Red. I must say after two rides in it, that I love the breathability of the fabric. It feels like an extension of my skin, keeps me dry and looks great. It is my 7th Jersey in last few years.

Question for you all? What is your favorite jersey company and material? Why? Thanks so much, see you on the road...

Well if you are that's two of us at least.

Just out of interest I took a look at Voler and didn't spot anything pretty.

My favourite jersey is my Ground Effect one, very comfy.
  • The Voler Jerseys do last, I just like to have multiple jersey's at hand. It is a local company, so I try to support local products not the China Jersey's most of you are wearing. Thank you for the ideas on new sites, boo to those spam nerds...

I have to confess I've got 1 'proper' cycle jersey: a bontrager thing that probably was made in China... Other than that I wear tops I bought for running... Yes, I know I need more!

It seemed an odd first post to advocate a brand so strongly: apologies if it's not spam or turfing. I'll have a look at the voler stuff :) . Hoping to pick up some cheaper decent kit in the states :D - and also nip down to shutt vr to get some stuff from my local supplier

  • No spam and not sure what turfing is. I was just trying to let people know what I was using and to see what others maybe using. Since I am a newbie, I really have no idea, what is out there. Each company touts new innovations and not sure if some are just smoke screens. Next big step will be finally to try out bib shorts, any ideas?

aahh, I've got 1 cycling jersey but 2 sets of bib shorts... I have a set of Lusso coolmax bib shorts which I really like - they're about 5 years old and work brilliantly, even though they're not all singing, all dancing and have a simple synthetic chamois with no gel in it. Made in the UK, too :)

I've also just bought some bib shorts from my local bike shop in their team colours. They're made by Inverse, and have a shaped gel pad in 'em. Not utterly convinced on the gel stuff, as sometimes it feels like the saddle is moving :D

I'd definitely go for bib over shorts though - a lot more comfortable.

Are there any cycling exhibitions like the motor show, Earls court?

I bet you can get some good deals at those. But more than likely you will come away spending more than you wanted.

I just looked at their crappy web site, the stuff just looks like cheap American tatt, oh buts that what it is.

I'll stick to brands such as Rapha, Assos etc. not some shit with the State Flag of Maryland printed on it or the very special one man band top ewww

my fave is this telegraph road il giro one. The zip tag is a little compass and the build quality is super, really cool and light and an ample phone/money pocket.

Spam or not they are a great company and deserve support. Qualiteeeeee.

  • Cleat, that is great advice, 3 miles a day is an awesome start. I really like the telegraph stuff as well as I am checking out velogear.com as well. Thanks !

Agree totally, the stuff looks awful, the kinda stuff you see folk at the side of the road on the tour of california wearing as they run alongside the riders with viking horns on their heads carrying a huge star spangled banner!!

No wonder they are spamming this site, will come up on google if someone searches for that company, but I would question anyone who would be doing that, why on earth would you want to be seen out in public in such utter rubbish?

I shall trust my instincts more :D

What a daft thing to do... Ah well, I'd never heard of Voler before and how I have I won't bother after being lied to by an employee.
