So with one of their biggest cash cows of annual income gone ... What impact will this have on any sponsorship?

Loss of profit from NoW isn't going to directly affect BSkyB (only potentially the takeover of remaining shares by Murdoch).
Closing of NoW is really more of a sideways shuffle. The Sun is going to have a new sunday version - probably with exactly the same people as were running NoW.0 -
Yup it shouldnt have any effect. Newspapers only account for 13% of Murdoch's British empire, or so they said on Radio 4. and NOTW is just one paper0

Sky were a major advertiser in the NotW. This potentially leaves their marketing department with more cash to spend as opposed to less.0

It's like an elephant swatting a fly of it's back."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

Bugger all impact I'd say, it's one paper in only one part of a global business that is also only sold for 1 day a week.0

On the second rest day, every one of the GC riders above Wiggins will be summoned to a meeting with David Brailsford where he will reveal he has been hacking into their phones:
"Alberto - you lawyer was right. The RFEC will accept any old bunk you tell them"
"Andy & Frank - fraternal love is all very nice, but you've overstepped a line"
"Horner - you're actually 52?"
"Samuel - Would the Basque nationalists be happy to learn about the Spanish governement mole Agent Downhill"
"Ivan - let's just say your sister's one bad girl"
Now everyone. Finish behind Ben Swift on Alpe d'Huez and this all goes away.Twitter: @RichN950 -

The real reason that NOTW was shut downRT: Murdoch really is a business genius. What you do is shut down News of the World PLC and then if there are any fines to be given out the company has shut and by the rules of the Limited Company the parent company will never have to pay those fine. The journalists can still be done individually though.0
