I see these as pretty much being the same. I just drop down on the bars and power through it using the biggest gear (smallest cog) I can stand. Afterwards it sure feels like I climbed a hill.

What about riding into the wind and uphill at the same time?

I think that would require 2-3 days off for recovery because it essentially means getting a double workout

My second favourite riding conditions. My first is uphill into the wind and very heavy rain.
Where would you be if you fell down a hole?.. Stuck down a hole... in the fog... Stuck down a hole, in the fog, at night... WITH AN OWL!

The way I see it you can always get to the top of a hill, but often you never get away from a headwind.
