Bottom bracket help...

Hi all,
The threads for the bottom bracket in my frame are pretty ruined and I was wondering if there is anyway I can sort this out without buying a new frame? I'm looking for a cheap solution because the bike isn't worth much so it'd be a bit unnecessary to spend a lot of money on a bike that's only worth about £200. Is there any sort of bottom bracket that screws into itself as apposed to the frame that I could use?
thanks,
Alex
