He's still in yellow. It was sensible to put that in the title in case someone came along and said so.

I've always liked him. In terms of cycling he puts his money where his mouth is and he's always seemed a decent chap in interviews.

Apart from the notorious Cav incident(s), does he whinge more than any other sprinter?

I like him. Don't think he has had a stunning year on the bands, but I guess wearing yellow for 6 days makes up for a lot.

He is a top class bloke in my opinion, volunteering to take the sole penalty for Cav the other day and the way he suffered a couple of years ago for green jersey to name but two of his highlights.

I'm a fan, trouble is he is/was competing against Cav and so nationalism always took precedence!

I find him a little dull, but he's a proper heavyweight in the peloton, and not just because he's 80kg. You can sense that heavyweightness when he talks to the press. It's a confident, relaxed air.

Always there in the Tour, just being very classy, and increasinly there or there abouts in the classics - and he can win a world champs.

But yeah, he can whinge when he wants.

+1 Yep, in comparison to others, he has always come across as a top bloke when I've seen him at the TDF usually before stages.

If i was ever to be "part of the sport of professional cycling" it would be as a Thor type rider

Obviously there is huge amount of me that would have to change but I kind of identify with him because of that!

I like him. I remember that when Credit Agricole was going under he hung on until the bitter end in case Roger Legeay found another sponser. Top guy.
