They certainly know their architecture.
I rather like seeing parts of France and it's architecture from the air. I go to France a lot and it's nice to see a different perspective. The farmer's displays are fantastic as well. Hopefully some here will take note for when we have races."There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world, t'would be a pity to damage yours."0 -

I also like this part of the coverage (working in the field of architecture is by the by), and the farmer's displays are stunning.Pain is weakness leaving the body.....I have a lot of weakness!

Did they really just say that team Leopard Trek is named after a German tank from WWII?0

The thing is you don't actually visit a travel agents to see that stuff, but the French would rather like you to visit a travel agents and arrange to see chateaux and views in person.Twitter: @RichN950 -
MattJPaul - they did.
Breakaway - if you're not a real contender on GC or jersey competitions, then you may be in with a shout for the most aggressive/attacking rider prize, as determined by the commissaires. In the good old days this used to be a sizeable cash prize and worth going for in it's own right. I suppose now it's mainly about the sponsorship.
Cheering on Geraint Thomas. Spoke to him at the start of last year's TdF and he is one nice bloke. Also, whenever he is being interviewed he actually seems to be enjoying himself. And Tommy Voeckler because he's a bit mad!Ecrasez l’infame0 -
Oh look, that's a pretty chateau. Has a museum in the basement apparently...Ecrasez l’infame0

Damn, Wiggins is out of the tour.0

Bad news indeed. Broken collar bone maybe? Team Sky will have their work cut out now.Ecrasez l’infame0

Seems to be a broken collar bone, yeah.
Cavendish also managed to drop an undetected s-bomb in his interview so two more points for that and for seemingly lacking any tact - it makes for some honest and insightful interviews.0 -

Yup and yup.
New generation of that tank is bloody good.0 -

Just to get this straight, there is a team whose name references a product of Hitler-era engineering used to kill UK/American/etc allied forces in WWII?0 -
No I think Phil and Paul have been let down here by their team of assistants (feigned surprise). The Leopard is a quality German tank, but rest assured it is NATO-era and is is used not only by the German army but Denmark, the Netherlands etc so WW3 will not be ignited on this issue.

I love all that. some of the scenery has been absolutely stunning, it's such a beautiful country and at an arty level it puts the incredible human effort into perspective and the rural involvement is positively rabelaisian....you kno worra mean like. The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -
Horner is in a pretty bad way too
The bit at the start and the end is quite shocking
All the best to him.0 -
I do know what you mean like. Those shots of the peloton(s) rolling into the last few km even had Mrs BBGeek looking at the TV (although she only wanted to know where Geraint was) and they were superb pictures. TV commentary says "flat route today..." ?
Some of the photography/camera work up til now been really good (and I am no expert) but I am really enjoying it and roll on the next few weeks.Ecrasez l’infame0 -

I assume you're referring to this -
http://bicycling.com/blogs/thisjustin/2011/07/08/video-horner-crashes-hard-in-tour-de-france-stage/ Don't think he'll be out to play tomorrow."There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world, t'would be a pity to damage yours."0 -
Ha! Indeed...remember to post the link next time :oops:0

And +1 for the comment about Horner. Without getting into "ProRace" hyperbole that was one amazing (foolhardy? dangerous?) effort from someone who is older than I am (not much though, and at his age he should know better).
Respect and chapeau Mr Horner.
Despite all the naysayers this race still leaves me slack jawed (and occasionally teary-eyed) in amazement sometimes.
As you can tell BBGeek is very disolusioned about the sport of cycling.Ecrasez l’infame0
