Kodak Playsport - 720p@ 60fps

I'm tempting buying one of theseto do some recording:


It looks to have great spec for the money - waterproof to 3m, shock proof, 1080p at 30fps and 720p at 60fps. RRP £140, but I've seen them around the £100 mark.

The trouble is the form factor - it's a blood odd shape to mount. Any ideas on how it could be stuck to the helmet or frame other than 5meters of gaffa tape?

Thinking I could use a universal car phone mount, but they tand to be on bendy sticks that will move when I'm dancing about on the bike.

edit - I've just found out the cheaper ZX3 (the above is the ZX5) still shoots in 1080p, and 720p at 60fps and can be got for £100

Doesn't seem to be much difference really. Bargaintastic?

I've got the Kodak zi8 same kit but not waterproof. Looked at using it too. They have the screw thread mounts underneath and there's handlebar mounts on eBay for hundreds of pennies. But like op said about the form factor, with the mount it would be too upright. Also they have a small amount of image stabilization. :-)

Also take into account durability when on the trails, are they made for constant bouncing and can they take impacts.

Also just because it's 'HD' doesnt mean its good, you can compare the GoPro to the Contour HD cameras which are both HD 1080 etc but the picture is very different (not saying one is better than the other).

I bought one of these towards the end of last year, and it's a great piece of kif for the money...got mine for about £92.00 from Amazon.
