Old skool XT Chainrings help

Hi all - first post here - I'm diving straight in with a techie question.
I run a fairly ancient xt groupset '98 vintage - part numbers start with M739. So I have 5 arm cranks and I need to replace two chainrings worn out by several years of commuting. The chainrings are proving difficult to find so my question is in two parts; is there anywhere to find these vintage parts for a reasonable price, or, should I cut my losses, acknowledge that I'm a victim of inbuilt obsolescence and modernise with a newer crankset?

what you do comes down to how much you want to spend.
I would replace the cranks."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
