Slow leaking Avid elixir 5 lever - write off?

Hey, I noticed the other day my left (rear) brake lever appears to be slowerly leaking. I haven't actually seen it leaking but I first noticed a load of sticky stuff on the shifter under it, and you can hear a slightly squelchy sound when you pull the lever hard. Is there any fixing these things, or is it basically a write off?

Many thanks!

replace the seals. brakes do make noises.

    how the lever feel?

  • Hey, to be honest the lever doesn't feel too bad. There is a bit of 'sponge' after the pads are in full contact but they're always been a bit like that. The only reason I mention a funny sound is that the front lever is fairly close to silent.

It's just annoying though cause I can't visually see any leak, just this sound and noticing sticky stuff on the shifter under the lever.

    Thanks for the reply dude.

My elixir 5 rear brake makes a very slight squishy noise but no leaks and lever pressure is same as front little bit of spongy feel but same as most avid brakes I have tried
