Good race, very well organised. Well done! I always feel safer with the motorcycle escort group helping with the marshalling.

Reasonably happy with my own performance, coming back from last weekend’s crash I was happy to finish without falling off.

Ha, yes, results of my new toy........a Casio compact camera that shoots high speed video at up to 480fps. This was shot at 120fps (1/3rd speed) and even though the finish was at the top of a reasonable hill, we still needed 2 videos and a voice recorder to place everyone and sort some of the tighter positions.

Glad you enjoyed the race and kept it rubber side down. Don't think I'd be happy organising without NEG cover now as they take so much pressure off the marshals especially at dodgy junctions like we had turning onto the A413.

Excellent entry in the end. Not my area but nice to see people still putting on proper road races, I worry that they are going to die out with the amount of stuff being held on the easy option closed circuits.

I promised my missus "never again" last night.

Mind you, I said the same last year.

No two ways about it, there's a hell of a lot of work involved even in just running a "chipper" on the open road, but I'm grateful for the support of my club with the majority out marshalling, driving in the convoy or indeed riding it.
  • Thanks for organising. Enjoyed the race.

Sadly the condition of the roads gets no better though!

I can sympathise, I organised quite a few road races and TTs in the 90s. I haven't done any since returning to the sport last year but I'm sure it's only a matter of time (our club does quite a few road races each year in an ever decreasing schedule). I've got some good course ideas but would need to go through the risk assessment route as they haven't been used before which is putting me off!
